The Beacon (2018)

A really awesome short film I had the great opportunity of being a small part of working with director Chris Staehler to realize his design of the beacon in 3D. Was really interesting to tackle its specific faux manufactured look while mixing that with some organic unsettling aspects layered in the interior. This mimicked a venus fly trap but in a Sci-Fi Gigeresque way.
The grimy surfacing was also really fun to do and helped sell the illusion that eventually entraps the protagonist.
